Cannula Days; Hospital Windows

A small update. About why I’ve been quiet. Things got darker fast, and I’m back in hospital.

Ten days in so far. No answers as to quite what my autoimmune body is doing yet. Hoping for success in suppressing it, though.

So, cannula in. Audiobooks on.

Normal service will be resumed at some point. But I don’t know when…

  1. Sending lots of positive, healthy juju your way, Ailish. Hope you’re out breathing in the fresh air, soaking up the sun, and relishing life very very soon.

  2. Sending positive mojo and a prayer from the frosty woods of New Hampshire. May you be fully recovered and dancing in castles again soon!

  3. I’m sat at home with a much milder flare and feeling both solidarity and hope that better is just around the corner. Our bodies may feel betrayers, but (so far) our minds remain strong.

[I’m superstitious enough to not throw that out like a taunt to the universe; we don’t need it coming for our minds.]

  4. I’m so sorry to hear you’re doing poorly again. I just had a short hospital visit due to a bad flu, it’s never fun. Wishing you a speedy recovery! I loved The Mermaid and the Bear and I’m looking so forward to reading more of your books.

  5. Really sorry to hear you’re not well. Hope they can track down the problem soon and you’ll be back home exploring the countryside again. 🙂

  6. I can relate in some aspects. I have new health issues since COVID, that will stay with me forever. Frustrating for sure. Rest and heal my friend.

  7. Hey Ailish, I just read your post about being back in the hospital. Wishing you a speedy recovery and sending positive thoughts your way. Take care!

  8. Wow Ailish. This is an inspiring blog post and I am sorry to hear that you were hospitalized. Keep up the good work and great call to action plan at the end of this blog post
